LATE MODEL STOCK RULES 2010

 

   1.  Body: Extreme/Woo/SAS/MSCCS Late Model Body Rule Apply

   2.  Wheel base 103” min. measured from center of hub to center of hub

   3.  14” Max, aluminum wheels, Bead Locks okay

   4.  Gas only.  No alcohol

   5.  Engine setback: 6” from center of ball joint to most forward spark plug.

        (For all cars)

   6.  Any transmissions must have forward & reverse gears.  No straight

        drives

   7.  Any rear end

   8.  No traction control devices allowed

   9.  Any ignition

 10.  Any carburetor

 11.  Engine: Chevy – 350, Chrysler – 360, Ford – 351.  Must be all steel

        except intake.  Max displacement of 362 Cubic inches – Chrysler – 365 cubic inch.    Any intake after market water pump (steel or aluminum) O.K. After market fuel

        pump in stock location.

  12.  Heads: Any steel head – 23 degree.  215 Runners, steel valves – no titanium valves.  No porting or polishing, grinding, or excessive deburring in any breathing area on heads.  No shot peening or acid porting of heads allowed.  May be deburred on outside areas only.  May have 3 angle valve job.  Can be flat or angle milled.  No polishing or porting of intakes. 

 13.  Open Motors: Flat top pistons only, steel rods – no titanium rods – cast or steel crankshafts

            A.  Crankshafts must weigh 45 pounds or more – NO TOLERANCE.

            B.  Motor can be balanced

            C.  Rods can be – 5.7” or 6”

            D.  No dry sumps allowed. 

Crate Motors: a sealed motor must be as it is listed – Chevy – Ford, etc.,  for example Chevy crate 604 must have the 50lb Crankshaft – powdered 5.7 connecting rods as called for.

            1.  Valve springs must be factory type called for by GM – NO other type 

            2.  Crates must have vacuum port for vacuum pull 17” or above – steady.

            3.  Sealed motors will be looked at as such.

            4.  No dry sumps allowed.

Cam Shafts: any cam that will pull 17” vacuum at 1000 rpm by track gauge

            A.  P & G will be done.    

 14.  After market fuel pumps in stock location.

 15.  Weight: 2350 lbs anytime.

 16.  Spoilers: 8” allowed.  Crates will be 8” also.

 17.  Tires: Rear tires must punch 60 or harder – front tires are open.

            A.  All identifying number must be visible – front and back – No altering – No tolerance!   

            B.  Drivers caught with non conforming tires will be disqualified and can be punished by track discretion.

  18.  No Tri-y headers.

  19.  2 barrel cars must pull vacuum and will be P & Ged.

  20.  Shocks: Oil shocks only; no adjustable shocks; no canister type shocks

 

Engines will be downsized toward the end of 2010 racing season.  Toward end of season before you rebuild or buy an engine, please talk with Tech man and/or Wayne.

PROTEST

 

  1. $175 – intake – 1 head - Bore & Stroke

      $350 – Complete Motor - $50.00 going to track

2.      Top 4 cars can protest:

    1. No backward protests
    2. Only 1 car per protest
    3. 15 minutes for protest starting from end of race
