GRANNY BOMBER RULES 2008 1. Any 1960 or newer full size car with 106 minimum – 112 maximum inch wheel base. 2. Padded roll bars are required and all doors must be welded or bolted shut. 3. All glass must be removed and a 3/8” rod maximum added to the windshield area in front of the driver. 4. Remove all upholstery, head lights, tail lights, mirrors, chrome and all flammable materials. 5. Racing seat and harness is required. Aluminum radiators are ok. 6. Minimum cutting for the tire clearance is allowed. 7. No hulling except for the drivers door. 8. Engine can not be no longer than a Chevy 350, Ford 351, or a Dodge 360, 60 over bore. Stock means stock: A. Engine must maintain 160 lbs., of compression at end or before the feature Race. (17” vacuum at 1000 rpms). Cars must run and idle on it’s own. B. Carburetor stock 2 or 4 barrel quaderjets. Fords can run 600 cfm vac., secondary out of box. C. Stock exhaust manifolds. Headers are optional. D. Cast iron intake manifolds only. E. No screw in studs or guide plate. F. Must run stock oil pan. G. Any hydraulic cam and lifters. 9. All suspension must be stock. 10. Automatic transmissions only. Must have working torque converter. 11. Stock rear ends may be locked 9”. Ford rear ends allowed in any car make for safety. 12. Steel wheels only must be 8” wide. White spokes wheels are allowed. 13. Tires 275 60 series Street Radial. No mud grips, racing tires or recaps. Bead locks on right rear only. 14. A car must weigh 3500 lbs., with driver after feature. 15. Fuel cells are mandatory. 16. Any style breather and valve cover are allowed. 17. Heads must be stock factory cast iron only. No 300 horse heads allowed. Open chamber heads only. 18. Stock means stock- if it doesn’t say it – you cannot run it.
