KAJUN MINI STOCK SERIES

$1000 TO-WIN $50 TO-START

February 19th, 2012- Due to wet conditions at the track and putting work at getting the new wall and other projects at the track behind, We are adjusting our Test and Tune dates, Test and Tune dates will be moved to March 24th and 31st. We will have our opening night on April 7th, 2012 as scheduled with the KAJUN MINI Stocks and all regular divisions racing.

February 1st, 2012- The 2012 schedule has been adjusted and Test and Tune Dates have been moved to March 17th and 24th, 2012. Opening night has been bumped up a couple of weeks to get racing action back under way at Thunderhill. Opening night will be on April 7th, 2012 featuring the KAJUN MINI STOCK Series with a $1000 To-Win & $50 To Start race, along with all other classes racing.

Regular Mini stocks will race their own race, those electing to race in the Kajun Mini Stock on April 7th, can race in it but can not race both classes with the same car.

January 20th, 2012- The 2011 Thunderhill Raceway Points Banquet is this upcoming weekend Jan. 28th, 2012 at 7 pm at the Ethridge Church of Christ. Plates will be $15 at the door. Points champions & top 5 in points & 1 guest will be free. The Menu will consist of Barbeque Pork or Chicken and all the fixings and desserts.

Also, an engine rule has been added to the Openwheel class that consists of Openwheels electing to run a GM CRATE motor 602 All Steel or a 604 Aluminum Heads.

OPENWHEELS WITH GM CRATE ENGINES

604 Aluminum Heads Must Weigh 2350lbs & 602 All Steel Heads Must Weigh 2300lbs

     A) All Motors will be chipped with a 7500 Chip-Including Crate Motors

     B) Crate Motors: must be as it is listed – Chevy. Example Chevy crate 604 must have the 50lb Crankshaft – powdered 5.7 connecting rods as called for.

     C) 1. Valve springs must be factory type called for by GM – NO other type

     D) 2. Sealed motors will be looked as the Same as all the other Motors in this Class.

Time is running out on those that wish to keep their current Booths and Pit Pads. February 1st is the deadline for payment to keep their spots from 2011. After February 1st it will be first come first serve for those wanting available spots. Wayne is at the speedway during the week for anyone wishing to stop by and make payment toward their booth or pit pad for 2012.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the banquet and awarding our points champions.

December 28th, 2011-  Welcome to the new Re-Designed & Launch of Thunderhill Raceway's Website by JPM Promotions. Please bare with me as I work out a few things and add more to the site, especially on the forum, it will not link you back to this site it will carry you to the old site.

The 2012 Rules have been Posted, follow the Rules link HERE. Two main rules to be implented in 2012 in ALL Classes is that RaceCeivers are Mandatory, no exceptions! All weights and drive shafts MUST BE painted white with the cars number on it and it must be bolted on with GRADE 8 BOLTS, NO SMALLER than 1/2" bolts.

The 2011 Thunderhill Raceway Banquet is to be held on January 28th, 2012  at the Ethridge Church of Christ at 7 pm.

2011 Pit Pad and Booths owners have until Feb. 1st to pay for their pads and booths, after Feb. 1st it will be first come first serve for those wanting pads and booths. Thunderhill Raceway is excited about the fast approaching 2012 season and can't wait to get back into racing action.
