2010 PROTEST RULES
$175 to pull head – bore and stroke; $350 to pull motor;
$100 to check clutch, transmission & flywheel. Track retains $50 if tear downs
happen only. To be eligible to protest you must have participated in 1 point
race in the current season and finished in the top four on the night of the
protest. If the driver is protested and refuses to tear down, he loses all
points, trophies, and money for that event, plus he will lose 5 points from
previous week’s point’s standings. Protest deadlines end 15 minutes from
the finish of the feature race. The driver must file the protest with tech
man. The tech man reserves the right to check any car qualification items at
any time during the season. Visual protest will be at anytime – before – during
– or after race by tech personnel only. Track personnel will make final
decisions on all calls and they will be final. During tech procedures anyone
causing a problem pertaining to the protest the track tech will have the right
to disqualify a car for causing a problem – protest are not of anger but of the
rules, therefore, there shouldn’t be a problem.
