11. Engine: Chevy – Must be
all steel except intake. Max displacement of 362 Cubic inches.
Any intake after market water pump (steel or aluminum) O.K.
After market fuel pump in stock location.
12. Heads: Any steel head –
23 degree. 215 Runners, steel valves – no titanium valves. No
porting or polishing, grinding, or excessive deburring in any
breathing area on heads. No shot peening or acid porting of
heads allowed. May be deburred on outside areas only. May have 3
angle valve job. Can be flat or angle milled.No polishing or
porting of intakes.
13. Open Motors: Flat top
pistons only, steel rods – no titanium rods – cast or steel
crankshafts – 362 cubic inch. 4.060 Bore. 360 Bore allowing wear
of block to be up to 362 cubic inch. 362 cubic in. No Big Bores,
Short or Long Stroke
must weigh 45 pounds or more NO TOLERANCE, and can be 3.480
Stroke and or 3.50 Stroke
can be balanced
Rods can be – 5.7” or 6”
dry sumps allowed.
Shaft rockers allowed.
After Market Blocks allowed: NO 400 Blocks or Boring to 400. NO
Blocks with Big Bore.
Crate Motors: must be as it
is listed – Chevy. Example Chevy crate 604 must have the 50lb
Crankshaft – powdered 5.7 connecting rods as called for.
Valve springs must be factory type called for by GM – NO other
Sealed motors will be looked as the Same as all the other Motors
in this Class.
